B&B Room 6 description

A twin room on the second floor, at the front of our Keswick guesthouse, looking out to Skiddaw.

The room is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, a double built-in cupboard with plenty of hangers for two, a chest of drawers, a bedside table between the two beds, and two chairs to relax on.

The cupboard also holds a heater and a fan, depending on what you need, as well as two lanterns - in case of a power cut at night - additional blankets and a small collapsible table.

The double bed has six pillows and the single bed has three pillows - and fleece throws - so it's nice and cosy to relax on if you want to sit back and watch TV or a film. The bedhead is covered with a bedhead slip. The pillows are of a varying thickness - so everyone has a choice of a thin, medium or thick pillow - and they are all hypoallergenic.

The lovely 36" Smart TV, gives you access to Netflix and Amazon Prime, plus other apps, so remember to bring your logins.

The hospitality tray offers tea, coffee - including decaf coffee - and hot chocolate, as well as white and brown sugar, Canderel, and some biscuits on arrival. UHT milk is available in your room there is fresh milk in the small fridge in the dining room. You'r welcome to decant what you need into the small thermos flask on the dresser in the dining room.

We have left the phone numbers of the local pubs on your hospitality tray, so you can easily book your evening meal. A small guest folder holds information about our breakfast, some housekeeping details, some local bus timetables and maps, as well as some take-away menus.

The lovely new bathroom is en-suite and has a loo - with macerator - a sink, a combined light and shaver point above the mirror, a walk-in shower and an electric towel-rail (timings controlled centrally). The complimentary toiletries are from Pure Lakes in Staveley, and include shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body and hand lotion, restorative foot gel and hand wash. These are all provided in refillable bottles. We also provide a box of tissues, as well as a complimentary shower cap, ear plugs, cotton wool buds and cotton wool pads or balls.

This room can cater for three people if the third person is a child, between 5 and 16. An additional cost of £50 per night will be charged for the third person.
