Our butter: Winter Tarn Dairy
Jeremy and Tricia Jackson have been making traditional farmhouse butter for over 6 years at Winter Tarn, Moreland, Cumbria.  Ed Snowboots 3 – the family logo – was Jeremy’s first supreme champion of his own breeding in 2002. The butter is made with free-range cream and delivered direct from the farm and is simply fantastic!  Just want you want on your toast every day.  Read more about them at @wintertarn
The family have been farming at Embleton for more than three generations, providing eggs to local businesses for more than thirty years.  And it’s these lovely fresh eggs that make our poached, scrambled or fried eggs so very tasty. The hens are free range during the day and are herded back into their homes at night by Badger - the family Collie – it’s truly a sight to behold! Scales Farm deliver fresh eggs to Maple Bank every week.
Braithwaite FarmThe Clarke family have lived at Braithwaite for over 30 years, producing dairy products for the local residents and businesses, and deliver milk and yoghurts to Maple Bank three times a week – absolute luxury!

Our breakfast sausages, bacon, haggis and black pudding are provided by Caterite. Caterite was formed in 1969 but its roots go back to 1947 when Chairman Keith Graham’s father established a mobile grocery shop in the Keswick area. The wholesale business is now located 15 minutes away at Embleton, Cockermouth, and the meat is dropped off fresh to the House.  The sausages and bacon are so tasty, and we offer a slice of haggis or black pudding as well with our cooked breakfast.  The haggis is also very tasty with a poached egg and cooked tomatoes – simple pleasures!

We source all our room smellies locally from The Soap Company, Keswick.  Each room has a complimentary miniature of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body and hand lotion, and a bar of soap, as well as a hand soap dispenser.  The fragrances have been carefully selected with all genders in mind. The Soap Co. was formed in Keswick, in the Lake District, to create opportunities for local disabled and disadvantaged people, who make up more than 70% of their employees.  Working at The Soap Co boosts confidence, skills and independence, enabling people to progress their career with The Soap Co or take steps into mainstream employment. Jason and his team create high quality products in the workshop above their Keswick shop.  They are passionate about the Lake District and use it to inspire their luxury fragrances and ingredients.  They also take care every step of the way to look after our environment and ensure there’s no animal testing.  Ever.
We offer a range of fruit and herbal teas from teapigs which guests can help themselves to during their stay, as well as the traditional brew served at breakfast.
Fieldside Flower Honey If, like us, you're a lover of honey, then you'll be delighted to know that we buy our honey from a local producer: Fieldside Honey, in Keswick. We have tested a few samples and our current favourite "Fieldside Flower Honey" is just perfect for porridge.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Old Friars of KeswickWhat a heavenly place for any chocolate lover!  We buy our mint creams for our guests here and of course, any other requirements such as Easter Eggs and Christmas Santa's.  The truffles are so gorgeous too.  You can't really enter here and not come out with something divine!
