Keswick B&B Breakfast Menu and Local Food Recommendations

A wise man once said to me:  ‘You’ve got to feed the engine, Kate’ as we prepared ourselves for a long weekend of sailing and it’s stuck with me ever since.  Therefore, we hope we send you off each day feeling suitably ‘fuelled’ to enjoy your day, whatever it may hold for you.

We pride ourselves on our selection of local producers to create the best possible breakfast for you.

Breakfast is served between 8.00 am to 9.30 am.

Breakfast is cooked to order when all your party arrives in the dining room.  If you need to be out in the morning by a specific time then please let us know when you check in the evening before and we can see what we can set you up with.  If you want breakfast before 8am for a particular reason then you will have access to cereals (including a porridge pot) and toast in the dining room and we can put fruit salad/yoghurt in the fridge the night before.  Cooked breakfast begins at 8am and the kitchen closes at 10am.

As it is just me, Kate, doing the cooking, I  ask guests to choose a time to come down to breakfast, to space out the cooking time and make sure I can focus on each of your breakfasts properly.  These times start at 8am and the last one is at 9.s0am, in 15 minute intervals.  If there are several B&B rooms in the same group booking then we ask you agree a time together and we seat you all together in the dining room.

I'll give you a menu when you check-in so you can choose your breakfast for the next day and this helps us manage waste.  And I leave you a new menu every day so you can choose something different each day.  Again, this helps reduce food waste as you might want to have something different each day.  And if you are staying for a few days it gives you a chance to try out one of our breakfast specials.
