Key Information About Our B&B Guest-House In Keswick

Car park at Maple Bank B&B
Looking for a B&B in Keswick with parking? We have substantial off-road parking available for guests at our Keswick B&B in a bespoke car park. Parking is free and gives our guests the convenience of being able to unload the car, as well as allowing you to enjoy the local walks that are right on our doorstep.
Find our B&B Parking Spaces
We have seven letting room and spaces for six cars onsite. Two are at the front of the House - once you're through the pillars, they are on the left - and four are in the car park at the rear of the House, which you access by driving down the left hand side of the House, once through the pillars. Parking is on a first-come-first-served basis. Overflow parking is on the road outside the House once the car park is full. You will see our black Citroen Berlingo parked on the road as well.
Please do not park on the pavement as prams and wheel chairs need access to the pavement.
Dog-friendly B&B in the Lake District
Maple Bank is a dog-friendly bed-and-breakfast in Keswick and our four-legged guests are very welcome. Tara – our resident Border Terrier – and Trevor - our resident Patterdale Terrier - are very happy to share the large garden behind the house. The garden is fully enclosed and netted: a safe space to let your pooch stretch their legs after you arrive, or to pop down to first thing in the morning, or just before bedtime.
Please do have a read of our Dog Policy before you arrive.
All of our cosy B&B rooms have en-suite showers for you to enjoy after a long day out.
Walkers staying at our Keswick B&B
Any muddy and wet boots can be left on the boot-stand in the inner porch or on paper in front of the radiator in the downstairs hall. Wet and muddy outer clothes can also be hung up in the inner porch. We can also hang clothes to dry out in the private bathroom if it isn't being used.
The local bus stop is two mins from the front door so it's easy to get out to surrounding areas – Keswick, Cockermouth, Lorton, Buttermere or towards Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere - if you want to leave your car behind. And you can collect sandwiches and pasties, drinks and snacks from The Village Shop in Braithwaite before you head off for the day.
We have a secure out house for your bikes at the B&B, as well as an outside hose to use to clean your bikes off if necessary.

And you're very welcome to hang up any waterproofs to dry off overnight.
We would also highly recommend trying out paddle boarding on other lakes. Have a read of our blog on Paddle boarding for details of where you can hire your paddle board, as well as where you will need licences and how to get them - easy-peasy!

We don’t have any laundry facilities for our guests at Maple Bank B&B however Keswick Laundry does offer a same day service wash if you drop your wash in by 10am.
And if anything needs ironing, then it’s a next day collection. Really handy if you’re away for a while and need to pop some things through the wash. They can also send away any dry cleaning, which is about a 3-day turnaround.
