Our B&B Policy for Guests Bringing Dogs
Dog Policy
We would like to think that we are super dog-welcoming. But in being so, we also all need to respect other dog owners as well as those guests who are not as dog-mad as the rest of us. Please can I ask you to respect the rules of the House and follow our Dog Policy to ensure a fabulous stay for your, your four-legged friend(s), other guests and us at Maple Bank.
- Please keep your dog on a lead when in public areas of the House and in the car park until you have entered the garden
- Please do not wash your dog in your shower. There is a hose on the back patio which you are welcome to use
- Please do not put any uneaten dog food down your shower, sink or toilet. Just pop it into one of your bins, tie up the bin bag and leave it outside your bedroom door, or put it into one of the black-lidded domestic waste bins beside the shed in the garden
- Dog towels and doggy-dressing gowns are available to use in the outer hall to wipe down wet paws and pooches. Please do not rub your dog down in the dining room for obvious hygienic reasons
- A green dustbin is beside the shed in the garden for all dog waste
- The fleeces are washed after every stay so if your dog does have a snuggle with you on the bed, please try to keep them on the fleeces and not on the bed linen.
Please do not leave your dog unattended in your room except during breakfast, when you are in the House. Please do not go out to dinner or for a walk and leave your dog in your room. It is highly likely that any noise will set your dog to barking and this will disturb all the other guests in the House. There are three dog-friendly pubs in the village for you to choose from for your supper.
If you have a platter in the evening or bring a take-away back then you are more than welcome to bring your pooch down to the dining room to enjoy your evening meal together.
Where possible we try to keep the dining room dog-free during breakfast time, so please either pop your pal(s) in your car during breakfast, or you leave them in your room if they won't get distressed. We don't want any distressed four-legged guests having 'a chat'. Breakfast is the only time you may leave your dog unattended in your room. If you think that your dog will get distressed being left alone in your room during breakfast we can quite easily pop you on a corner table so you can settle him/her down whilst you - and other guests - enjoy your breakfasts. And of course there is a sausage for every four-legged guest for breakfast.
Any queries at all, please do just give us a call. We love dogs - we have two and all the team at Maple Bank have dogs - and they are very welcome here.
